Sanur is an easy place to have a relaxing family holiday. It’s not too far from the airport, it's much more low-key than glam Seminyak, but there are still some great cafes, shops and beachside digs to keep you occupied.  And, if you want to have a little dose of boutique shopping in Seminyak, it's not too far away. We have had some nice family holidays in Sanur.

The beach is known for its colourful fishing boats, low-key beach-side cafes, calm kid-friendly waters and golden sandy beach where littlies can build sandcastles or even fly a hand-made pirate ship kite. The beachside walkway and bike path is over 4km long and is dotted with low-key cafes under shady trees, and colourful wooden fishing boats. It's perfect for long walks with a bubs or toddlers in a stroller.

Sanur is about 20-30 minutes from the airport, and 20 minutes to Seminyak and about 30 - 40 minutes to Ubud, depending on traffic.It's also the jumping off point if you are heading to Nusa Lembongan.  ​
