ABOUT ME

This Darwin Life

I live in Darwin in the Top End of Australia with my lovely partner and two little boys. I have fallen in love with most things about life here; the sunset picnics, the relaxed outdoor lifestyle, interesting people and amazing landscapes.

If you don't "go troppo" in the "Build Up", Darwin is an amazing place to bring up kids. It's relaxed, it's easy and low-key, it's culturally diverse, and there are lots fabulous places to explore in the Northern Territory.

I love the fact that it’s quicker and cheaper to fly to Bali from Darwin than it is to fly to Sydney, and it takes roughly the same time to get to Singapore or Ho Chi Minh city as it does to Melbourne.

Work & career

​

I have a Masters of Applied Science in Tropical Environmental Management and my undergrad was in Leisure and Tourism. Over the last 15 years or so, I've worked in the area of environmental planning, management, community-based conservation and development on Aboriginal land and Sea management issues in northern Australia.
